The ISIS terrorists attacked the Hashd al-Shaabi forces' positions in border regions with Syria twice, but failed to prevail over the Iraqi popular fighters' defense lines.
The Hashd al-Shaabi fended off the ISIS's offensives, killing a number of them and destroying four of their vehicles.
The media service of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces, also known as Hashd al-Sha'abi, said in a statement on Sunday that the troops of the first and 13th brigades confronted an attack by ISIS militants near the Iraqi-Syrian borders.
“Ten ISIS members were killed, while a vehicle was burnt as the troops foiled the attack,” the statement added.
